GreenChase Construction

After being friends for over a decade and both possessing a love of building, Daniel Chase and Lee Green started discussing what they might be able to achieve together in the construction industry. They shared a strong intent to create a building company that dispelled the general public’s stereotypical expectation of ‘builders’; one that was able to combine quality, sustainability, high levels of service and, importantly, clients’ enjoyment to deliver completed projects that improved upon the standard expectation.

With interest in exceeding the required building regulations increasing, the two owners became certified Passive House tradespersons and members of The Green Register too.

Progressively, they recruited a team whose capability is founded on their experience in the building industry in key areas. These include: high-end kitchen and bathroom installation, bespoke glazing design and management, high-end bespoke joinery and fitted furniture design and management, product design and fabrication, single ply membrane flat roofs, living (Sedum) roofs, hard landscaping design and delivery as well as the expected ‘normal’ building staples.

We focus on quality, not quantity. Our team loves taking on a project that makes tangible enhancements to our clients’ lifestyles through inspired changes to their internal spaces and external building form. It gives each of the team members a buzz to work on such amazing projects.

From our first involvement to the handing over of keys, we guide our clients through each stage and decision with an emphasis on consultative communication.

Even though we have significant experience, we must keep learning. To this end, we receive fortnightly business coaching. This openness to feedback (good or critical) flows through the team and we invite and welcome any feedback on our performance and levels of quality and service from any of our associates and clients. Constructive critique leaves us better informed on how to improve and we’re better off for knowing.

We had an instant rapport with Lee and Dan when we met them for the first time at our architect’s offices, and in this case first impressions proved accurate. They were extremely professional with us, with the added bonus of being honest, transparent, and a delight to deal with for the two years that we worked with them on our refurbishment project in central Cambridge. Like most building projects, our project over-ran on the time front. The initial estimate was one year, but it ended up being one and a half years. This was not altogether surprising, as more nasties were uncovered along the way (which thankfully they spotted and had the means to deal with) and we made a few modifications of our own. Lee, Dan and their team accommodated all of this with professionalism and good grace. The quality of their work is excellent, and we are thoroughly delighted with our lovely new home.

GreenChase did a brilliant job on our build, working carefully to update our 1960s property to a modern, light-filled house. Their team are friendly, kind and helpful, and provided an excellent quality of finish across the property. We have been very pleased with the level of service that we have received, and the finished product.

We used GreenChase for a kitchen replacement project. They were professional, friendly and efficient. The work was completed on time and charged exactly as quoted. It was a pleasure to deal with them as they understood the quality level and detailing that we required. I would use them again in future without hesitation.
